About The Artist
New York City based artist, Cheyenne ‘Angel’ Lewis, uses her skills in Visual arts to create works such as Illustration, Publishing, Book Design, Painting and Graphic Design for over 10 years. Awarded her Bachelor’s Degree, Cheyenne explores her knowledge in Arts working with companies such as Smithsonian Freer Gallery, Diaspora Market, Brownsville Heritage House and many more. Her greatest creation so far is the self-publishing African American Children’s book: Mama Relly.

Experience
Utilizing her creative talents with her love for visual art and Japanese animation, Cheyenne presented her work within several school programs and sold her work through expositions and museum galleries. Starting Mama Relly with her author, Cathie Wright-Lewis, they have appealed to many writers through workshops and are on the verge of beginning a new publishing company, Power In The Pen.
Brownsville mother-daughter team writes children’s book"I had to read the story, first of all, it was amazing and I already saw the visions in my mind," said Cheyenne Lewis. "I called it Afro-Manga which is combining my love of Japanese animation and African American Culture."
